How to upload media files to the Media Gallery

EFPT's Website has now a Media Gallery, which you can use to upload pictures, videos or audio files ("Media Files"). It supports the following formats: .BMP, .GIF, .PNG, .JPG, .ASF, .WMV, Quicktime, Shockwave Flash, .MPG, .MP3, .OGG

The Media Gallery is organized just like your PC "folders". The difference is that in Media Gallery the folders are called "Albums"(and the "subfolders" are named "sub-albums").

Let's see how to upload media:

Click  the button below

Click on the album (or sub-album) in which you want to upload the media.

On the drop-down box (nearby the "go" button), choose "Add Media"

Fill in the following fields:

File:  (press the "Browse" button to browse for the file you want to upload in your computer. Please note that the file size must be less than 3 Mbytes, otherwise the system will not accept it)

Attached Thumbnail:   Check the box if you want to use a thumbnail (i.e., a smaller picture of your file, to be more easily shown on the webpage); If you want to use a thumbnail, browse for it on your computer as above

Caption:   (A short description of the media you submitted. It will be seen directly on the index)

Description:   (A full description of the media you submitted)

• ·         If you want to add more files, fill in fields for other files. (Remember that the total of the files cannot exceed 8 Mbytes)

7.      Click "Save"

8.      Wait until the "upload process" is completed. It may take several minutes, depending on your connection.

9. If everything went ok, you're done. The media you have uploaded will await approval from a moderator from the IT group (Ok, I know you guys will not post pornography, but the software has this requirement…)… and once it is approved it will appear on the website.
